The walk starts at the Kennemerduinen Visitor Centre. If you come by car, you can also park it here. From here you walk approx. 4.5 km to Midden Herenduin, where you continue the route. If you come by train, get off at Sandpoort-Noord station and enter the route after Landgoed Duin en Kruidberg. You will then be directly in Midden-Herenduin and from here you can also shorten the route to approx. 7.5 km.
